OptionEye - The Cow Guy - Feb 7th
Good morning.
Today is the day. ECB gave no help yesterday as Draghi left rates and accommodation unchanged.
We get non farm payrolls this morning and are shooting for 185k new jobs and an unemployment rate of 6.6%. Yesterday's big rally in equities was on a rumour that the jobs number was over 300k.
Corn and beans are steady to a shade easier and wheat is up 3. Yesterday we had front month Oats limit up on logistical concerns. While the volume is very small it was interesting to talk about and we discovered that after Nat Gas, Oats are the second best performer in all things traded so far this year. Who would have guessed it.
Stock are up again. Let's see if we get our numbers.
Oil is .24 cents lower at $97.60 and Gold is up $4.77 to $1262.96.
After today, we have a grain report on Monday so there will be no rest for the weary. We are not expecting a lot but we have been surprised before.
