Good morning.
Well, here we go. The Ukraine situation is playing out in front of us and moving all of our markets today. Russia is firmly in control of Crimea and our energy, agricultural and metals markets are on fire.
Soybeans up 15, corn up 11 and wheat the big gainer up 31 as shipments out of the Black Sea region are threatened. This too shall pass but maybe a good time to take some profits it things are going your way.
Stocks will be the losers today as the Dow is off about 150 as we speak. Gold is a gainer at $1345..75 up $19.31. Oil is a gainer too up $2.34 to $104.93.
The 10 year yield is lower as we see a flight to safety with US bonds. Currently the the treasury is trading at 2.61%.
The dollar has climbed back a bit from Friday's slam to 79.88 up .190.
The headlines will be Russia/Ukraine but we do have some economic indicators this morning. PCE and Personal Income.
