In a state as large as Texas, they can have a drought AND a flood at the same time within the state. Neither bodes well for corn or soybeans. And by the way, as early as they plant, doesn't their production often get counted in the last year's production numbers AND the current year's by the USDA? A few more acres of corn and a few less acres of soybeans probably won't make much difference.

It's been real dry here in NW Ohio.......and it's 66 degrees today. But, I haven't seen anyone planting corn here today.
It's always nice to see the planting season get underway though......no matter where you are at.
