Re: Planting date ???ssss
Northern Va
Started April 15th last year on worked ground and April 20th on no till. Forecast is showing I'll be right there or within a few days this time around.
Beans went in the ground May 2nd and beyond. Had half of them planted. Waited two days for the rest of them to come in (ordered in Dec). Then it rained for 3 days. Was a week before I got back in the field.
I'm leaning more on my "on time' dealers this year

Re: Planting date ???ssss
Ground still frozen
Much more frost this yr
Nothing will be planted in april compared to past yrs of some April planting
Normal used to be May 1 then we started havig warmer, drier spring
This yr. not likely till after May 1 some time, so later, for sure
[I think], but I never try to out guess mother nature]
We have started corn from april 20 or some times planted til June 5
All depends on spring weather-mudded corn planting does not work well in our area
S.W. Ont. Canada in the lower Great Lakes region-70 miles from Detroit

Re: Planting date ???ssss
Central Kansas, early plant date is April 6 I think. Should be going in normal time frame for us of 2nd and 3rd week of April. Dryland will need moisture. It might germinate but that's about it for our moisture content, but it won't sprout in the bag, right?

Re: Planting date ???ssss
Southern Ohio. lots of tillage and fertilizer aplication the last couple weeks. Last year I was nervous for a forecasted cold spell that never happend. I waited till may 3 to start. Like to start as early as April 15. I think it could be that early this year.
