Planting in Michigan
Lots of sugar beets going in the ground in the "Thumb " area of Michigan 85 degrees today.

Awwww, Good Luck to you all. I remember planting beets fondly...and miss them a little bit now that you have weed control that is dependable. I wish I was starting a beet growing operation today..because the technology, the knowledge..and the machinery are so much better. Hope you guys don't get any cold wet weeks that rot them off.

I can actually say I planted some corn in March now... I have been working on my planter for days now and just wanted to make sure I had some of the "bugs" worked out of it. It was just about a 50 ft test run in the field with some of last years leftover corn seed but none the less I can say I too was planting in Michigan today. Good luck with the beet planting!
