Planting progress

Hey guys where are you for planting progress. I'm all done corn, and will be half on beans shortly. Had to screw around and apply sulfur to my winter wheat. Cold at night and dry.

Where will America be on planting by Monday?

Farmerguy89, I am all done with both corn and beans. I would say my area on the Michigan/Indiana line is somewhere near 90% complete on both corn and beans. Looking at the weather and crop comments from everybody on this site, I bet we are near 70% complete on corn and 40% complete on beans here in the US. The later planted corn in my area has outyielded the early planted corn by a long shot over the past 3 years so I don't believe yield per acre will greatly suffer. The next batch of storms to hit the central US could tell the story of this planting season. If Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota get heavy rains, that may end the 2013 corn planting season for some..... Its almost June!

Looks like the Dakotas and Minnesota are getting some hefty showers.... How is the planting progress there?

Here locally we only had three good days of planting this past week....Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday....heavy rain Wednesday evening into Thursday stopped any hope of planting for a while.   And rain again last night (Saturday) with more in the forecast for the next several days not looking good for any restart of planting.  I do think about half of intended corn acres might be planted around here.    Don't know of any soybean planting having started yet.....

We had four good days before the rain on Thursday night in Southern Minnesota. It looks like I will have cut back on my c on c.  I know of only two planted bean fields in the area.

Dang slim - i have the the WX Channel on and it don't look good for your area -- Flood Watch and maybe Tornado's ?

Guys I know 0 sucks but don't mud it in. I Planted June corn 2011 and it was fine
