Re: Poll: Biggest market factor?
I vote All the above, but that isn't on the list of choices.
~ This corn market sure looks bullish from all directions now, and I sold 60% of my old crop @$6.05 and $6.25. Boy, do I kick myself now. Cannot sleep good either.

My vote would be for weather everywhere. Next thing to watch...does Brazil get to much rain as harvest nears?

Re: Poll: Biggest market factor?
I think you have good reason to sleep better than most. In fact, I think you should be sleeping like a baby.Though I think there are bound to corrrective periods in the market I see ZERO chance this is going to fall out of bed hard. Just too many questions and insecurites regarding future supplies in the face of continuing demand. And those questions cannot be answered at this time. Maybe you will eventually sell some or a lot on the backside of whatever the high is, but be happy you are still in the game. Many aren't and are still effectively delivering grain sold at a much lower price because of obligations to cover, or they didn't want to be greedy .
But a local terminal manager of long experience is amazed that I sleep like a baby. He doesn't come right out and say I must not be normal - actually he has come to think about it. You do what you think is best given the information you can find. You can't do any better than that.
