Corn: Sold 15% during harvest, didn't have enough room to hold it all. Started moving some this week to get bins cored, only delivering on basis contract, waiting later to price.
Soybeans: 100% sold, could not let $600.00 plus net returns get away!
Sold 20% corn during harvest as I couldn't hold it all either. Sold all wheat and better than half my beans before the report. The rest of the beans can go at anytime. Feeding cows and playing truck driver now 😉 Corn will stay in the bin until after planting 2014 crop.
Sold 100% of every crop. I was fortunate enough to do this early in the year where all prices were anywhere from $0.75-$1.50 better. Deferred most payments to be scattered throughout the calendar year to when I need some cash on hand. Worked well on the 2013 taxes, but might overload me for 2014. Once again, time will tell.
