We're seeing some short-term push bids for corn around here. Most of it is pretty restricted on volume and delivery date, so it makes me wonder if the processors are trying to keep the pipeline full as opposed to doing any long-term buying.

locally we have an ethanol plant pushing bids quite a bit, and it makes me thinks that the huge bins it has are all empty.
Someone should stop and rap on them and see if there is that hollow sound coming out of them.
What if a lot of processors were waiting for that $3 per bushel corn bid last fall that never happened?
