Remember when News

....tends to capitulate -- there is usually a relationship to markets.....chartwise we are due for a rest for 1-2 weeks.

the counts are adding up in C/B/W - and other commodities, as well.....Equities a bit longer in time.

for any of the shorter term strategies....................................

Re: Remember when News

Im waiting for the Soybean market to really pop.  The tightness is there and getting tighter.   I really do not think we have seen anything yet.  Maybe in this next report.

Re: Remember when News

January 2008 I think. Cash wheat was leading futures in HSW. I think there were buys @ $25 or more. Before it froze up.

Re: Remember when News

that was Minneapolis - went over 20 in 2008-09 -- was a 9-12 month move.

the gap in SRW might need a good test or filling....this week should tell - break-a-way gaps since elec trade began - get my attn re: energy.

just glanced at US W balance sheet again - dependant on how affected plants are -- to dry/cold south last few weeks - ending stocks most lik(E)ly adj down here, too.

Re: Remember when News

Hi c-x-1

Are you saying that we could see 5-9 maybe more [13??] chart wise

In the C/B/W. All in the same upward trend. Do I understand you correctly

I know you said something about 1-2 weeks that I did not fully understand.

I am just guessing I understood that 1-2 week part

Please keep us up to date on what the charts might be saying

I am not a chart person, so go easy on me. If you don't mind. From time to time

I won't hang you if the charts don't do what they are supposed to do

Lord help anybody else that might be tempted

Anything about charts is better than nothing

I think charts can be some what self fulling, which is why I am asking for your input

I think that self fulling part may be because so many traders follow the charts

I also agree with Pal about charts being a lagging indicator

My understanding is the indicators come from previous price action

I might be wrong on this sort of thing

So: I try to keep a balanced out look

One more piece of info always helps

It's always up to me to decide

Re: Remember when News

wglassfo,

from all my sources (me included) - but not jmo either -- most if not all hard commodities have probably ended the 4th longest in time - bear since 1900.

that in mind - low in W/B occured on 1/30 --Corn 1/10 -- impulse legs on the daily/wkly time-frame are usually 3-6 wks long

total 6-15 month impulses are made up of 5 waves - in grains, however, they can become extended -- 9-13 waves or legs being simply the extention of 5 . look at the daily charts on these and 5 little (3 up, 2 down) can easily be seen.

just saying i think we are at or near that 1st smaller legs exhaustion -- resistance-wise for now - and this also coincides with the derivative of :news is most bullish/bearish at tops/bottoms or pauses.

once a 1st leg is confirmed - by a common-sensical corrective wave - projections (possibility/scenarios) can then be made about the

LARGER MOVE.

thanks
