Say it isn't so

I just to a look at the radar map and basically shows no rain at the moment over the entire Midwest and Central Plains. How long has it been since any of us could say that?

Re: Say it isn't so

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth CX1, but it would be much more beneficial it would just wait for about 10 days in this area. Don't get me wrong, we'll take all we can get, but I would imagine there are a whole slug of milo producers that are itching to get their planting under way this week.

Re: Say it isn't so

Hey Shag, how do you wring the rain out of those clouds?! There has been little to none left by the time they get here to wcpa over the last couple months. Great weather for making hay, what there is to make. I remember back in what was it,'93?when the mississippi was in epic flooding,we were in drought here.

the milo guys might have a couple - 3 days before your area gets much......but yes, i'm chuckling, "we need rain, Mother, but can we pick the dates on that order?"Smiley Wink

Re: Say it isn't so

Squeezing rain from Kansas clouds has the same principles as getting blood from a turnip.  Totally agree with your haying comment.  We took a 250 one way trip this weekend east on I70 to KC.  One the return trip yesterday we noticed several hay fields had been laid down on Saturday afternoon.  We've got rain in the forecast nearly every day this week so I imagine these hay producers will be hoping to get it all put up before that happens.  I saw more windrows in one afternoon than I saw the entire year of 2012.
