Re: Silage
Am sure it's just "my backyard", but the top end potential is coming off the crop around here -- heat is finishing up the corn too quickly, corn was yellow in poorly drained areas for most of summer, beans are more weedy than past 15+ years, and SDS is showing up all over the place (some areas just spots, others look like most of the field).

Re: Silage
Really so if they had an unreal expectation and it is less this is somehow a failure? My silage corn looks the best it has since 2010. And this is the first year I haven't had to chop in the august and early sept. Heat. I think this one is top 3. BTW I think this is gonna be a tough year to put up good corn stalk bale. They won't be dry.

Re: Silage
Jr, who you talking too?
Who said failure?
Is 167.XX not a pretty lofty number almost unreal. 169 is even more out there and 174 is nuts
We can have a top 3 year and still have carryout at or below 1B
2013 is a perfect show my work example.
