Soybean planting goes slow in Brazil
The soybean planting started two weeks ago in Brazil. However, the pace is still pretty slow. In the center-western state of Mato Grosso, where the works already started, planting is just under 1%. Compared to last year, in this period the planting was already 1.7% percent of the area. These figures are based on an estimated soybean area of 20.4 million acres.
The works are just starting in the southern state of Paraná. And Rio Grande do Sul, the southern-most state, will just begin in Novemebr or December.
I will be back later with more info on soybean perspectives.
