Soybeans fall 37¢

So far, this week, new-crop soybeans are off 37¢ per bushel. How much more of a haircut will that contract take, with  the whole month of August ahead of us?

Will beans catch some air?

Soybean Balloon.JPGThe National Balloon Classic show, being held this week in Indianola, Iowa, is trying to blow some air into the soybean market.

Re: Trump just tweeted 10% tariffs on the remaining $300 billion, you can forget.....

Trump just tweeted 10% tariffs on the remaining $300 billion. You can forget ever selling soybeans to the Chinese ever again.

Beans have been holding up around $9 on the hope that there would be a resolution to this trade war.  Now, beans have got to lose at least another $1 to get the supply demand back in balance.

Anyhow, it's a good thing there aren't going to be all that many beans this year, they won't be needed.

Re: Insane, maybe, exaggeration , doubt it.

.   Chinese buyers just got permission to make purchases of soybeans, pork, other items.  You watch the cancellations start.

The last couple of weeks, even as trump was tweeting about lack of agricultural sales, the Chinese were moving to make substantial purchases.  Do you honestly think they'll follow through now?
