Stocks and equities markets
are going to like this governmental split. Nothing gets done, Federal government keeps on keeping on.
There will be lots of behind the scenes ***** going on to keep the quiet, undetectable costs of it all locked behind the curtain.

Yeah.
The GQP house majority may even be so thin as to reduce the likelihood of grandstanding economic terrorism.

Re: Stocks and equities markets
It looks like the democracy was not destroyed as fear mongering was parlayed by our president. Too bad he doesn't know that we are a republic as Benjamin Franklin famous quote. Ben was there, he would know. Will see how energies respond in the days ahead, no more need of the reserve released.

Upon reflection, I think the quick conventional take might be as wrong as the lazy assumptions about the election were.
It will mean that a dozen fascist lunatics will be able to hold the country hostage.

Re: Stocks and equities markets
The interesting thing to watch is that in a functional free market economy, record corporate margins and profits (and executive compensation) should begin to be driven in by competition.
Which would tend to limit stock gains.
But what happens if we
a. conclude it isn’t a free market
b. Corps just keep raising prices and their own bottom lines/executive compensation?

The biggest hurdle to running the perfect con is to have it designed so that the mark is a willing participant. Such as, "things are good! Open your 401K statement!".
