Re: Storm event - IA/Mn

1.75 here in LaSalle County Illinois.  Will help beans a lot.  Corn?  It sure won't hurt but how much it will help I'm not too sure.

Re: Storm event - IA/Mn

Is it just me or do storm events this year so colorful on radar produce so little widespread rain coverage? If I was not in the direct path of the storm yesterday, I would have to believe anyone close to Interstate 80 got two inches plus from yesterday's event. Now, I hear folks reporting a couple tenths or less, though some isolated inch plus amounts. I know I got just enough to make my soybeans leaves flip back over, 0.1 inch. Unbelievable how spotty it is this year. I guess at least I am getting the opportunity for rain. Some folks are not even getting the black clouds to head at them, let alone split and redevelop once their past.

Re: Storm event - IA/Mn

Iowa City area got 3/4" and had some very high winds.  Tree damage.  Cedar Rapids had hangar damage at the airport.  Some grian bins harmed.

There was some corn down, but it seemed to go by field - maybe by variety?  If I could figure out how to post a picture I would.

Re: Ontario rain

Allan

I am east of you in Perth county.

managed 8mm when it finally quit before noon.

Started just after sunset last night.

8 is better than none but we could use quite a bit more.

Talking to my son in Ingersol and they got a nice rain in town last evening but just east of town where they were visiting they did not get anything.

Spotty showers all around this year.

If we were lucky like Embro area we could maybe complain about too much rain, understand they got more again last night.
