Re: THIS CORN CROP WILL LOSE 1 BILLION PLUS BUSHEL BY LABOR DAY.......
I can't back peak corn in a literal sense, but I can attest to the hammering our corn has taken in SD in the last two days. We are plumb out of water and an above-average crop is going below average quickly with a poor fill.
We planted about 2-3 weeks later than normal because of the cold wet spring and I can't help but wonder how the corn that was planted 3-4 weeks later than normal, especially in Iowa, is doing?

Seriously though, I agree that the crop on a national scale is going to shrink a lot this week. Not sure it is going to shrink by 1 billion bushels by Labor Day but you do have a flare for the dramatic. So, I guess we must be at 10 billion or under now since 11 billion was in jeopardy a couple of months ago? Crop looks to be around 12.5 or slightly under by Labor Day. There is some real tough looking stuff across the country but there is a lot of really good stuff too. Corn that got well watered last week is taking this heat just fine. In fact it might help us avoid a frost threat.

Re: THIS CORN CROP WILL LOSE 1 BILLION PLUS BUSHEL BY LABOR DAY.......
Hey I'm as big a fan of the Bible as anyone but lets run through these okay. The verse from Mark. One of our Commandments. It works both ways right? I haven't really felt the love from him the past couple of years. The reading from Matthew. I'm not judging him. Just pointing out that his constant drama and outlandish claims don't always jive with reality. Don't believe I have made dozens of predictions and tried to seek fame by pushing a flawed concept on others. As far as 1 Peter 3:9 is concerned I won't argue with you there except to point out that it is also a two way street. In closing I want to say how utterly ridiculous I find it that you have stooped to using the Bible to defend 232SS. You people truly do believe he is a god. He is one of God's children just like the rest of us but he truly is no better than the rest of us.

In Genesis book of the Bible, it is written, as I recall:
In the beginning, God created Heaven and Earth and Mizzou_Tiger (232SS)

I agree. It's amazing how fast it's going down hill. The only time I remember it dieing off this fast was 1988. Had 3 straight days of 100 plus , went from green to dead with strong winds from the southwest. We started to harvest about this time. There will be more corn this time but the beans will be toast.
