TID BITS
$15.03 beans at Des Moines ADM
The sucking sound of the grain vac from the panhandle region is still barely audible here but we do have a positive harvest basis.
At unit train of corn was loaded out here yesterday, bet it headed SW out of here. I put 926 bu on it.
Wonder what next spring will bring?
Right now the train loader is leading the price basis thing with + $7 corn bid.

Re: TID BITS
They will make at least a $1.60/bu on that train full. maybe two+.
If nothing changes that train won't be running by spring. Not with grain anyway.... The chances of drought changing is slim to none before March.
More preg. cows are standing needing feed than we have feed for..... a harsh heavy snow winter will take a tole but we need it badly........ the odds are against it.

Total so far 2.38" a real soaker.
Tapers down pretty fast as you go west.
A little more as you go east.
Edit: sun came out about 11:00 , Additional .05" for a wonderful total of 2.43"
Some tile lines running but not all

Re: TID BITS/ moisture
We were supposed to get 1" 2" of rain but only ended up with 0.15", I only get about 50 acres out of chisel plow points before turning. Then I caught the damned China flu, so far just aching bones, my quarantine ends on Tuesday and then I`m going in masked up and vote the straight Republican ticket 👍. I just when ahead and had em spread the usual amount of fertilizer, then land has been good to me and with talk of dry Mississippi and good yields, just bite the bullet IMO

Re: TID BITS/ moisture
BA, hope you feel better soon. I hate getting sick during fall harvest and wrap up.
As far as $15 soybeans go, if they will pay $15, they will pay $17 too. My perspective.

Re: TID BITS/ moisture
Thank you, Red. Lynn Kettleson talked about some anti-viral treatments that he used, I inquired to Mayo about them. The one treatment they have to`ve checked your kidneys beforehand, the other one is an option within 5 days of symptoms, but I weighed my mild symptoms, so I decided against it.
My Dad`s remedy for any cold or flu was to get a pitchfork and load manure, working up a sweat. Your shirt would get wringing wet from sweat and your mind would be off of your symptoms, I`ve gotten soft and don`t pitch manure anymore 😀 I suppose you could workout at a gym, but it has to be actually pitching manure, like the chicken soup made by Mother ♥

Re: TID BITS/ moisture
Hope everybody was belted in and secure.
The whiplash in the bean market last 24 hrs is pronounced.
-29 to now +31.
If that wasn't enough almost 70° yesterday morning to a 7° wind chill this morning.
Bright and sunny though...

Re: TID BITS/ moisture
The market finds buyers before it crashes too much. A friend of mine gets Garrett Toay`s advice and he was saying after the latest report, it was a trap to trick everyone into selling. I think so too, however it`s going to scare you.

Re: TID BITS/ moisture
Hobby, just remember that it's worth every penny you pay for it.
One thing I found interesting yesterday was that my stock market gains, and the in the bin crop values losses almost perfectly offset each other.
Diversification, right?
