TID BITS

Went on a drive about today.

Got as far as 15 miles south of Moberly Missouri.

South of Moberly saw three guys discing, one was actually making a slight amount of dust.

Saw one other farmer actually plowing. Should get rained out tomorrow in that area.

Nice positive move up today with continuation this evening.

Re: TID BITS

Those moving the market must be looking at it from 38,000ft, seeing things that don`t make sense from the 6ft level.  If our January base camp is $7 corn and $15 beans, just how big is this mountain anyway?    🙂

Re: TID BITS

What I read in that is ........

1 Brazil has nincompoops in charge just like us....

2.  Average yields will fall with every new acre.

3.  Brazils government is in financial trouble !!

Re: TID BITS

yep

Also no end in sight for increased demand/competition for fertilizer/soil amendments.

Even if average yields go down slightly, overall quantity still increases.

As you alluded to it obviously makes no difference if right wing or socialist politics are in charge.

Re: TID BITS

hobby,

On a world wide basis..... we might need that help...... knowing marginal hillsides and drouthy pastures won't produce well.  (and agreed Brazil overall total may increase).  I expect our production has declined now for several years as water declines in high yield areas(Spearman Texas to Western Nebraska, and California central valleys, etc) .  Usda has finally started trimming acres after the fact as lack of total yield becomes obvious the last couple of years.... Harvested acres seem to be easier to swallow than reductions in promised yield.  Yield reductions might bring questions concerning the favoritism to international chemical companies and China as the new owners of our seed and chemical production.

Cattle production in Brazil sounds trimmed by the move........ the poor of the world aren't buying beef.

Emphasis on the feeling Brazil's economy is in trouble ???
