The end is near
the growing season.......that is.
Looks like a hard freeze warning in NW ks.....then up into neb, SD and ND..........and later this week I think it moves further east.
oh, that's right, that will increase yields...........dang, I need to re-read my plant physol. book from college

Unfortunately, I still have a field with green beans in it. Just 1/4 of the 160 field, just a strange sight to see mature beans and the beans dinged from dicamba, still a wee bit green. Well, the freeze might just be the best thing, Ready for harvest to start, but sitting at 5 inches of rain in last 6 days. Should fill out the green ones yet. LOL!

My beans could use a freeze, take the yellow and green out of the lower stems.
The wooded hillsides are showing color
Average frost date here in southern Iowa is Oct 11
No frost in the forecast for here yet.

The 4" of rain we got last week knocked most of the green leaves off the beans in our area.
It did get the tile running a little bit - enough so you can see water in the north branch of the ditch.
Good shot at frost tonight - we could of used it a couple weeks ago.
Be nice to get rid of those stink bugs - man them suckers can bite.
