The soybean situation

Has anything changed in the old crop soybean situation?  With the price of beans dropping the last couple of days, will this spur sales even further? Are we now importing beans from Brazil and immedietely exporting them eleswhere?  Will USDA's numbers ever add up?  Does anyone care?

Re: The soybean situation

to your last question: not anyone - ONLY the market (price) does - so it's a collective being = plural -many, many ones added together...........................

Re: The soybean situation

Depends how early you plant them, but I've seen July beans nearly knee high.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: The soybean situation

ba da boom -- splash -- good 1, Shaggy.

20 Billion dollar question indeed, cat.

we have 1 piece of the technical puzzle (impulse-wise speaking) - at least - the 1st leg now seems complete = about 272 cents.

...........assuming the high for eternity is not in -- lets see, it's Apr 22 and US is just about out of inventory for domestic or export -- so that leaves 4+ months in mktg yr to go.................

after 2-4 weeks for #2 correction -and again, assuming impulse #3 begins (3's are usually between 1.25-1.618 X #1) - then one can do a bit of projecting for the end of 3 ----and so on................................................................................................................................................................................................

Re: The soybean situation

cx1,  They just want to make it harder to get in........if the market is screaming higher,  or harder to get out if the market falls off the cliff.

Whatever they are doing, it's sure not gonna help the farmer.

Re: The soybean situation

no,

increasing limits will allow for MORE trading volume if /when the 70 cent lim is breached.

..........and, of course allow mkt to move farther/faster & sooner - no ref to Ok, btw.

also, if history is any guide, in 2000 bean limit expanded from 30-50 cents; in 2006 or 07 - from 50-70.

any clues from this?
