How does that 'unflowable' area get circulated? Verticle mixing augers?

Re: They`re importin` corn!--Good's Stocks est.

We bolt a plastic bit onto the bucket of a large endloader---this minimizes any sparking between the bucket and the welded steel flooring material....because we cannot push corn in the bottom of the tank fast enough to keep up with the plant, we have to have corn sitting in our short-term storage space so we can push corn out of the tank into that space and keep using the 11,000 bushels per hour to the plant....

if all goes as planned, we can push 90%+ of the corn in the bottom of the tank into a series of 5 gated openings in a period of 20 hours....then come back after cycling trucks through and finish the next evening.....

the plan is to clean out one tank each year....so the base corn stays in a tank for up to 24 months.....we are careful on putting very high quality corn into the base....low FM, low damage, and moisture below 14.5

each of our 1 myn bushel steel tanks may be filled and emptied 20-25 times per year....there is no room for error of putting bad corn into the base and having to do an emergency cleaning project!
