Re: The real lesson is:

THEY WILL PAY MORE FOR LESS!  If that is not in economics 101 it ought to be.

Yes, there is a lot of mistruths and BS in there.  I can tell you that the rains over the last month have drastically improved Illinois soybean prospects.  It wouldn't surprise me if Illinois came close to a normal yield for soybeans.  They don't mention the fact that while soybeans east of the Miss river have been getting a drink those west of the river are frying and shrinking.

Re: They would lead to you to believe.........

In the column of would not have believe it if I wouldn't have saw it myself.

Trish Reagan interview on Bloomberg with some Dem Congressman.  Asked him several times what cuts he would make to work on Federal Debt.  Only cut, direct farm payments, 20-30 billion in saving.  She asked him, but you need to come up with trillions, nope that was only cut.  He said he would raise revenue though thru taxes on the rich.     Was not the time to work on debt.

But think about it, why do we get direct payments?   Control.  AND,  that money is spend several times over  and taxes are paid on that income.  Now, I am for ending direct payments.  But, really,  I am too dumb to understand this new math they use in DC.

Anyone else seeing the new game in town?  Free DP just around the corner.  Big cuts in drying rates.  What else is out there to get your bushels?  I really still can't believe that we had the worse drought in many, many years and we never got that much over last years cash price for corn.  Have to think they could have pushed corn prices down to 3 with a normal crop.
