Tid Bits
Well, Well, Well
Got a call @ 8:30 this morning from the local grain co. Said my offer to sell @$4.90 hit in the over night and did I still want to sell? ? ?
1st off, I thought if the offer hit it was sold. Then wanted to know which month I wanted to deliver if I still wanted to sell.
I told him yes I'd still sell it. and named the month.
I then checked their basis and went to Barchart to check the high for the overnight session. IT did NOT hit the # necessary to fill the offer.
He had mentioned that they weren't buying hardly any corn when I placed the offer last week. They grind a lot of hog feed.
Think I'll just keep coreing the bins and this could get interesting by June? Still not too late for me to switch acres to corn. Many acres planted around here, even some beans.
No acres planted at my place yet.
Heard this morning that hog wts hit an all time high last week of something like 286#s. How things have changed in the last 20+ years when they used to want them at 230#s

Re: Tid Bits
1st of all Hobby, IF i'm hearing you correctly--
-- doin' business w/ a local that's tryin' to cheat you by saying your limit was hit when it WAS NOT........we can't fudge that on the paper side.
that might get me to thinking about perhaps telling some folks where they could stick their cobs........but------maybe that's just me.

Re: Tid Bits
No you missed the point.
Yes I think I was storied to.
My offer to sell was/is higher than their posted offer to buy.
They decided it was close enough and only a little over their price to go ahead and see if I would sell. In other words I got just a little more than was posted. Nothing for me to be very upset about. Now the bills will be pd another month. Not sure which one of us was "Monty Hall" on this one.
BTW what do you see in the picture above?

Re: Tid Bits
Looks like a man with his left leg & toes pointed towards the ground and his left arm up over his head and he is wearing a mask. (or face painting)
Not exactly a spiderman outfit but the coloring is close.

Well I see a beautifull bird , I think it could even be a Parrot - Very smart birds at that and can live many many years , But if keapt as a pet - then all he can do it flap his wings and go know where , So its a bird with all talk and no flight .
