Tough to plant safrinha in Brazil

A farmer from Itaporã (southeast of Mato Grosso do Sul) has told me that it has been pretty hard to plant corn in the last few days. The Brazilian state already started to plant the second corn crop. He told that the soil is too wet. Here there are a few photos of his property.

From the looks of the pictures it appears as though they are taking  a page out of our playbook and trying to talk down the record crops they are growing.

I can't enlarge the combine picture on my phone, if that isn't a cover over the hopper those beans are wet.

If they had a red combine, they wouldn't have all that foreign material in their load of beans...................
