USDA Reports
With the latest trading hours in place, it seems to me to be prudent to release the WASDE and stocks reports at 7:45 Central time. This would give everyone 45 minutes to digest the numbers before the markets reopen and then give a full session of trading. My 2c worth.

Re: USDA Reports
Prudent, logical, ethical and other such things are not part of the equation at the USDA OR CBOT.*
*or so it appears from my low perch

Re: USDA Reports
I wonder who owned the new crop grains sold in the export sales report yesterday. Someone must think new crop prices are a bargain. Who has sold?????

Re: USDA Reports
The ICE exchange has a corn contract that is open at times that include 0745 to 0830 everyday. The CME will not close for USDA report releases if ICE does not also agree to close. They are afraid that the post report volume would escape to a competitor.
To this point ICE has publicly stated that they intend to stay open during USDA releases.
