Re: USDA report guess for corn......

My GUESS: wheat will lead the way followed by corn. I believe beans will remain steady if not come up a couple cents. I think many in here are thinking a little too deep into things comparing years and charts. Last year USDA announced a "record"  2009 corn crop that only existed in volume and not as many real bushels. That sent corn to low price levels and allowed many countries to buy US corn that might not have or at least not as much, reducing our supply of inaccurately priced grain. Then we had a poorer than average corn crop with a drought in Russia and now $6 corn!

After 2010 almost precisely mirrored prior years with bearish Jan reports, hard to understand how you can make this comment.

What year do you think 2011 will follow?  1981????

Thanks.

Tipping point I have not been in this business long enough to know but how many years have we seen this much demand for exports with this amount of short inventory? I just don't think one can compare. My market theories are usually wrong so maybe you have a point.

Blacksandfarmer,

Price patterns of commodities repeat themselves yet the underlying factors are probably different.
