Re: USDA report
The killer would have been if the bean yield hadn't been offset on the carry in side.
They avoided that.
There will be people arguing ear weight and the idea that we've seen the biggest corn number we're going to see.
Could be. I doubt that we've seen the biggest bean number, though.

Re: USDA report
Agreed......
163 for an Ohio average? I will sell my entire corn crop for that average today.

Re: USDA report
My question is what is this report doing to futures in Brazil and Argentina? Cash prices for immediate delivery may be good in SA, but is the offer price for new crop beans (March 2017) or safrina corn (July 2017) going to encourage much expansion? Because if these yield projections hold, its going to be tough for anyone to compete with the US in the corn and soybean export market.
A lot of small old bins around here that could be rented and filled. Buyers might be surprised at how tough it will be to source physical corn and soybeans after the contracts have been filled at harvest.

Re: USDA report
No shock here ---- we knew they were going to try to offset the export numbers of the last two weeks.

Re: USDA report
Crop's not in the bin yet, everything is conjecture, or perhaps "educated guess", until then.
