Re: USDA report

Hobbyfarmer, you called it, in the past saying over 15 billion bu corn crop coming.   I`ll just say though, around here we aren`t better than last year IMO.  Just the appearance though, it looks thicker stand than i`ve ever seen..maybe not as many double ears?

Re: USDA report

Probably some one leaked an email. Traders all knew what was coming and got into their postions a couple of weeks ago.

Re: USDA report

Rich Feltes take: "suggests USDA has underestimated final C/S acreage."

Also his take, might be highest yield of the year but demand boost looks very optimisitc.

Re: USDA report

Doesn't have to be done with a record per acre yield when so many acres got/were planted.

Problems in some of the  edges around  the corn belt such as Ohio, and parts of south Dakota,

Did a drive across Kansas last week, in the last six years have not seen anything to compare to

the crop they have out there this year, more than enough almost realized potential out there to

make up for any short fall anywhere else around the corn belt. White capped mountains of wheat everywhere

and grain companies scrambling to literally find more physical acres to pile grain on this fall.

That in itself might trim some bushels off in spoilage. Remember that picture of the rotten pile of wheat at the Gavilon facility is S Dakota I put up a while ago? A wetter than normal pattern that the western grain belt is enjoying isn't good for ground piles of corn.

They have also piled  beans on the ground  out there in the past,  can you say train wreck?
