Welcome to loonie land

I can't believe the people complaining about the pro farmer tour. Three ears is nothing. The grain prices where going to crash anyway, look in the mirror find quit blaming others for your poor marketing. You could have paid for Brock, utterback, or pro farmer and done better selling your grain. You guys screwed up quit blaming the pro farmer tour as a red herring.

Hobby, I could have not said it better in 14.032, or 14.093 billion bu.... or years in this case!

vr, beating a dead horse is about right.

He acts like everyone is stupid next to him, that no one has marketed better than him this past year, or the past decade...

I would take some of MT's advice over this changeover act...  A couple of years ago MT was so wrong... Then turns 180 degrees and says MT is right?  Now MT is wrong again....

Nothing but a "Texas Hedger" talking his current position.

Right, like all that "sexy" corn you talk about in Ontario, 50% which did not pollinate till August.

Re: Welcome to loonie land

My corn pollinated in July... So I'm not too worried. I don't get why guys need to go after the super long stuff, when the science says it doesn't necessarily make more yield... But I digress, everyone is better than me anyways at going in early.

Besides, If everyone gets to half milk line w the yield potential we have, the losses are minimal and yields huge.

Current El Niño trend dictates that we likely don't get frost early at all... Averages tend to average out: we are owed good weather to square up with the cold weather we had. Sure you can argue that it doesn't owe you. I like to argue what is probably true and the chances of this going the wrong way is low

Re: Welcome to loonie land

Bucky I'll tell you the definition of Loonie land - our track record with one of those guys (first on the list) -
- 110,000 contracted and delivered a couple of summers back for half of the cash price at time of delivery (contracts 3.40-3.60 cash price low 7's)
- dumping 70k in a hedge account over 5 year period
- paying them 5k a year for such great advice

Could we have made it all back this year? Maybe.....But we decided awhile back they had their chance. Time will tell.
