Re: Well got started....

Storing the last 2-3 years worked out do to weather problems first in South America  and other World producers. We followed the same growing season that year Brazil had problems. So the market had to "ration" demand. Now we need to buy back that demand. World stocks growing and so is our stocks. That alone is a bearish factor.

Keep your eye on the EPA and the ethanol mandate. This could be a bearish corn factor and next year for those who store may just be the nail in the coffin. But I'm a corn bear since last Dec and into this year. I just have no reason to be long corn. We still need to work our prices of crops to be competitive in the World markest.

have a good safe harvest

Re: Well got started....

Were are u coming up with $60? the lows for crude oil the last 3 yrs are 2012=77.28 2011=74.95 and 2010=67.15. Yes I could see $83 for crude. $60 just a number out of your.........

But then again you will be right no 14 billion corn crop just 13.7. But you will tell us you told us so.

All summer I read traders in Chicago are wrong, (and I am a member of the CBOT) and the markets wrong. I also imho think the $1 or 2 corn rallies are over. We could be in a trading range of 60 cents for a long time. Low 385 highs 455. Corn will be a boring trade and all must adjust trading the ranges after harvest and this winter. Now IF SA has a weather problem and China.......stay tune

Re: Well got started....

Unless you can see that the bridge is out up ahead! Done with beans, 56bpa. 80 acres spring pattern tile trenches worked in. Cover crops planted. Ready for corn, hand shelled corn planted 5/8 still 29.6 % moist taken 2 days ago. warm weather looks to have taken that last of the green out of the plant. Guessing we nose in to 26%. So far standing pretty good considering hail damage this summer. Going to dry and store. Screw that setting in line for 3 hours, for a mear penance .
