Whassup with SF? no markets, no forum?
I left for a couple of weeks and come back to no marketing posts, and to the agforum being basically shutdown.
Whats up with all of this?

No one willing to post, just to have their head bit off.

Well, after today's market, it looks like a really good buying opportunity.
But it truly is amazing to have a "successful " farming site without ANY success whatsoever.
If it weren't for bad or fake news, we'd have no news at all.

Doesn't make sense to me either. They say they don't have export news, so drop the price 16 cents. Rather then using the news that they do have which is that Brazils forecasted soybean harvest just dropped over 165,000,000 bushels. Seems that would drive the price up. It all seems backwards to me.

Re: Whassup with SF? no markets, no forum?
Hey rsbs,
Marketing talk has been a bit slower because marketeye is out of the office. (He's at home, on the mend, and will hopefully be back soon.)
As far as agforum goes, while we value the activity there, we also keep an eye on it to make sure it's civil. If things get out of hand, we do from time-to-time, only when it's really necessary, remove posts or ban users.
Thanks!
Jessie Scott

MAYBE, just maybe, and it's a maybe, some of the posters are the "non essentials" and don't have a way to post except when "working"...

Re: Whassup with SF? no markets, no forum?
It seems chatrooms take a hit from Instagram, snapchat, Twitter and such, all formats that are smart phone friendly. I don`t know, but would guess that there aren`t many in these chats sites under 30 or 40, they want their information and give their thoughts and move on quickly. On the forum page, some don`t like that their long post gets deleted by administration, well in most of social media discussions move on to the next topic rapidly anyway...and sometimes I post something Ishmael deletes it and I`ve forgotten I`ve posted it and if I re read it, I`d thank her for deleting it 🙂 but some folks get offended that their thoughts are wiped out and probably fall off.
Mike (Marketeye) said he was having back issues and maybe going to have a operation, so he`s understandably out of commission ..speedy recovery Mike! But if there`s a dollar move in the grains, you could bet traffic on here would pick up 🙂 and then there`s the fact the farm economy is tough now, meetings with bankers, so going on the computer isn`t on many`s front burner.
