What do you think, sell some more corn before the end of the week or hold off awhile?
A few weeks ago, Al advised us to sell before Thanksgiving. Now we've only got a couple of more days and price is strong, sell some more or hold?

Can you explain "Charts"
Kluis has mapped 15-week up and down trends since mid-2019. According to the pattern, prices should peak around Thanksgiving/first week in december. The problem with chart patterns is of course that they work until they don't. No one knows why these patterns form - it's just the vagaries of the market. When/why does a head and shoulders pattern stop and a new trend start? If you can answer that, you'll know when to sell.
If you want to know what's going to happen long term, look at Argentina. The Peronists promised all kinds of freebie goodies to the people, who perpetually vote them in. Of course, freebies paid for with printed money are EXTREMELY expensive. The Argentine peso routinely collapses every 20 or 30 years, following intense inflation. Due to severe lockdowns for covid and printing money to fund social programs, inflation is currently 50%/year in Argentina. We farmers will be OK because hard assets like land and gold will go up with the rapidly deflating currency. Gold is real money - a reliable store of value. The US Dollar is just currency - a government issued piece of paper that we all agree is worth $1, until we lose faith in it. Then it is worthless.
So grain in a bin will generally go up with inflation too. You do not want to hold US Dollars for very long if the dems can win the two Georgia senate seats. If that happens, my advice is sell only when you need to pay some bills. Or your soon to be higher taxes!

Re: Can you explain "Charts"
This thing isn’t over by a long shot yet. I don’t know how it’s going to work out but I suggest people at least for a different point of view tune in to newsmax and one america news channels at least once in a while. Of course I know I am wasting my time telling some people this but you might be surprised to hear what some retired military officers are saying.

Re: Can you explain "Charts"
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
Attributed to Edmund Burke, including by John F Kennedy in a speech in 1961. Burke didn’t say it, and its earliest form was by John Stuart Mill,

So after trump buys farmer votes with misappropriated USDA funds, we should listen to anarchists on right wing "news", promoted by farmers, to learn about how democracy works? What next, stone the intellectuals? I'm a retired military officer, we had buffoons there just like in ag. Look at Pompeo, complete embarrassment to the military.
