GMO in corn in 1990 killed some insect species that were requiring large quantities of insecticide before GMO seed ---super benefit.
Ear worm being one example... BT's first developments killed ear worm ---now it does not.... Yet the price of seed stays the same and now insecticide must bail it out. Or new GMO events at higher costs.
How soon does genetic modification just become a $150 tax on seed?
I don't see federal agencies being able to keep up with technology or the fair business practices that they helped to monopolize.
