Wheat is
Wheat is as bad as expected. Possibly the worst crop I have lived through. --- Area wide hail would have been better.
sw has been in the bulls eye of misfortune weather wise, but this is nuts........ Irrigated wheat struggling to make 30 bu/a and drylandin the teens...Harvesting behind a sprayer is always a bad sign.
Remind me, is the marketing forum about the crop? Or is it just the usda and political news media driven casino, which means I am putting this info in the wrong forum.
Or that could be wrong form, Or just the wrong farm. Or just wrong.

Re: Wheat is
Worst wheat harvest I have seen and the elevators know..........we have the best basis I have ever seen. But the futures markets are broken and manipulated by entities who don't care whether there is a crop or not. ---The funds, the traders, the media, and usda...
This is also what explains the change in grain storage construction(possibly)......... 5 years back it was farmers building bins and now it is end users building storage...
Does that mean neither side trusts the futures pricing process?
Does that meanThe middle man (Coop) has limited days ahead.

Re: Wheat is
Should it be up?
Wheat..................... if there is no market ...... no.... it should not be up.
But it should not be dropping either.
Soon there won't even be demand for seed.

Re: Wheat is
The only thing that drove corn gmo was beltway’s ethanol guarantee and it’s trade for campaign donations. Paid for by $300/unit seed.
What do we expect, we watched our friends in the seed business get crucified by the legal teams as usda ignored the brutal crushing monopoly takeover of the seed industry. Unnecessarily they allowed competition to be wiped out for the political kickback from unnecessary profit levels reached without competition.
So why would independent producers fair any better.
