Where did it go

Guys are finally looking at ears and going "where did it go".

And beans. Well, if forecast holds they are in trouble.

Too much heat and now rain is getting spottier. And yes there are areas that had too much rain recently that will suffer more if the rain shuts off and heat continues.

Should finish the week higher and I expect the next two weeks to be positive as well.

After that it's weather. Continues dry and normal to above normal and we grind higher.

Corn crop will be good but likely 1B under estimates. Beans could really come up short on supply.

Got long May beans yesterday. Will play corn long via physical and field.

Re: Where did it go

Are those guys under the illusion something was ever there?

It's not "there" till it's in the bin ...

Would you please explain that to the USDA and the traders?

Re: Where did it go

Didn't think we would see you mizzou since there is no way the crop is close 12.2 B  :-)

Welcome back, always appreciate your thoughts, for balance at a minimum.

I'm getting really big horns in the wheat. It just has to take out this weeks high.

You can only get kicked out of one place long enough until you say the heck with this.

Re: Where did it go

2010 comes to mind when you ask the question "where did it go?".

We had some of the highest crop ratings ever for late in the season.  Only to end up well below trend yields.

Not saying this will happen this year......however........History often repeats itself.

Re: Where did it go

Come on guys.  The heat was in june, july has been cool.  The warm june pushed roots down to soak up maximum nutrients.  We are set up for a monster year.

Re: Where did it go

Lots of pics of tipped back ears showing up on Twitter. Beans have a long ways to go. The elevator pays for beans not stalk.
