Where`s the next dime move in corn

Up or down?   I think down, because I own corn. Naomi Blohm was on Market to Market saying she sold corn last week.  The next dollar move in beans will be up, because I don`t own any and have to buy beanmeal pretty quick here.  🙂

There`s a big report coming Tuesday. I figure a dime down tomorrow scaring the bejeebers out of me and I`ll sell in fear, then the report comes out and 50¢ rally and the gurus will be talking "next resistance $4.75".  Did I mention I hate marketing?  🙂

Just give it about six months.  Biden will straighten out this debacle with China.  Probably start with just destroying anything with the orange guys name on it.  Then you’ll see a few dime moves. So, nice to see the optimism for Americans now.

Regardless whose in the white house, I don`t see  China paying us $13 for beans if they can be sourced from Brazil for $11.  With Brazilian currency manipulation, their $11 beans will be "record high!!" and they`ll clear more land and pave more roads.  The "reset" is nigh.

Re: Where`s the next dime move in corn

The funny thing, I was listening to smart people that sold last week, so I`m watching up 1, down 2 1/2  duzzeling around like that and Monday up/downish closing up 1/4....well crap, damn the torpedoes full speed ahead into the WASDE report.  I was out in Primghar in a snowstorm, I responsibly pulled the rig over, called the elevator and said "Sell!".  If the funds would`ve just given me a 2¢ "rally" on Monday, they could`ve bought a slug of my corn 15¢ cheaper.

It`s going a lot higher though, they need to ration both corn and beans or we`ll run out next September.

Re: Where`s the next dime move in corn

All summer long I kept seeing on line how bad the weather was in China and their rivers were all flooding. But MSM didn't report anything about it. And my simple mind said "aren't their river bottoms like here (their best ground)?" "Maybe they're going to need more grain soon." I don't guess right very often but I got lucky this time.

Too close’  ‘.    There is an early point made here that “trumps” whatever you come up with.  For obvious reasons there are only three economies in the equation, Brazil, USA, and China.  Two of those three, and very likely now, all 3 of those currencies are being manipulated by China. How can we expect to see grain prices go up a lot more  — that has   Become very less likely.

all we really have to hope for is that usda has been lying to us for the last year, China really does have production problems and Brazil can’t keep making silk purses out of their shortage of sow ears..  anything different for positive news won’t make the presses   — if we are lucky to get that reality of an up market won’t last a year, maybe 6 months

I bet usda and all the presses needed will have their marching orders down by March

The only hope we have beyond that is the new world order won’t be able to produce a sizable crop of anything since 70 % of that production needs profitable cash flow.

Re: Where`s the next dime move in corn

We had phenomenal yields in NCIA, however you get to Belmond area, there were stalks without ears.  The `20 crop was hard to nail down, if you caught a rain, just a little rain in August that made the difference with kernel depth.  ProFarmer  and USDA kind of missed the boat in sampling too early, probably plugging in 85K kernels per bushel or something, well if 95K or 100K kernels are the actual in many areas, the national yield has to get trimmed.  There derecho damage was under calculated.

Was out in South DeKody yesterday and in Hurley, by God there was a outside pile of beans at the elevator with snow on it, yikes.
