Will sw, or some producer
that understands details of cancellation process on export sales, please explain it. about to be 100% sold. soy food for thought.
i mean if a contract for future delivery is bought i assume a cancel would have to involve a sell back of sorts??? who buys back, etc?
thank you!

Re: Will sw, or some producer
Sorry cx1, I had a busy day and just saw this.
I would assume the exporting company is the middleman in the process and the whole issue deals more with the logistics of transport and recieving. In that respect it is more a delay of the sale than a cancelation.
We have this ordered but can't take it this month so we're canceling this shipment until we can handle another shipment later.------- that type of thing. In that case the grain just gets shuffled to somebody else and credit remains in place for future purchase.
Fact is I am not very knowledgable of the exact details. But my wife's got a family member that would be very involved in those details. I haven't seen him for a while. I will give him a call in the next day or 2 and discuss it with him and get back on the subject.

Re: Will sw, or some producer
appreciate the expertise, sw.
now that just brings more questions - just a delay, china still has credit, but they can use it for SA instead, is where i'm wondering with this. otherwise, cancelations would have no net effect on demand? thanks again,
