You would think they would learn
The dicamba resistant soybeans. I've seen
Several presentations on how to use them...
BUT....nobody has said that the trait is not
Approved by Japan, and no word from china
Both very large importer of beans
Haven't we learned yet, we have had several of
The same kind of issue in corn.
We will end up mixing everything together, our
Buyers don't want it.....so down goes all the beans.

Re: You would think they would learn
I was told at a crop meeting that dicamba beans WOULD NOT be released until approvals from overseas customers had been obtained. I looked at their web site and didn't see anything definitive one way or the other.
Can you give a reference for your post? I'd like to read it, too.
No doubt, the grain markets will be watching the release of any new trait to avoid the StarLink and Syngenta problems.

Re: You would think they would learn
Here's a quote from that blog:
"Monsanto did go to market with its new Xtend cotton varieties without the herbicide approval or China trait approval in 2015, but the company has said it will not do the same in soybeans because of the importance of China to the U.S. soybean market. "
Monsanto is permiiting farmers to pre-register for the seed but says if they don't release the seed that RR2 beans will be subsituted.
It would seem to me that they did learn. Where do I have it wrong?

Re: You would think they would learn
Saying you don't believe what they tell you is a lot different than reporting that they said something that the blog proves they did not say.
