Some light reading to help digest that turkey..................some interesting trends developing................the 2013 numbers are still in limbo obviously, but I tried to find the most current available..........PEAK CORN............
Peak Corn was and still is a fantasy. Raising right at 14 billion bushels in a year like 2013 with so much adversity pretty much proves it. The American farmer will always have the potential to raise a bigger than ever crop. Have a nice Thanksgiving.
The bears think 14' will get wall to wall corn too. Boy will they get some some BullSh--- in the face. Too many underlying issues to plant a lot of corn. 89 mil planted max in the end. How does that corn spreadsheet look with $4.55 corn an inputs priced from $6 corn? MoBeans! I don't care if beans are $10 they are a lot less risk with lower corn prices. I would rather take the $50 acre cushion with less laid out up front. Plus we have been knawing at our APH the last 3-years. Time to get it back up by only growing it on our best dirt with rotation.
Ill Steve and I just keep pointing out the obvious. Peak Corn is a delusion of the worst kind. Besides, you have to look at global corn production not just one country. Keep it up Steve. Both sides need a spokesman and you continue to win the debate (just look at your yields and the corn price :-) )
