Check with a cover crop seed dealer in your area. He might not have the bin run seed your after, but he might know someone who does.

Why don't you just go for the best ---------------- bindweed

neighbors will love ya for years.  Either one will make you the outcast of the community.

Bit of wheat would not bother me.  May be interested in another year.   Where are you located?

Re: anyone got rye to market?

Rye in wheat country has always been a mistake if it goes to seed at all.  It has the same life cycle as wheat and prolific   You cannot get rid of it once it is there.  Not as bad as Johnson Grass.  But not good.

We had the very same "cover crop" promotions in the early 1980's.  Neighbor decided to raise a circle of rye for resale and personal use in the future.  We can still see it in the road ditches and within a mile of that quarter.  Took years to clean it up.  He rotated it out because every wheat crop he planted there for several years got rejected or had a heavy dock.

Re: anyone got rye to market?

Well you might consider triticale (sp).
There is a regional seed Co near here
That does alot of cover crop stuff. They
Are in the state south of you. I don't know
If we are allowed to say on here or not.
Give me a p.m. if you want name/number/Web. Good luck.
