Looks like July Corn peaked out at 7.99 now trading at 6.60.   You got a better way to keep score.  Only score that counts is right here.   Pity the fools that didn't sell 8 dollar corn.  But they got the bins sealed up now.   The amazing thing is they are thanking MT for getting them bulled up when they missed the boat on 8 dollars and are sitting on 6.60.

I think people are glad to still have corn in the bins. If this drought is as bad as it is at least they will have something to sell when it goes through the roof. I hope them shorts you have are paying off.

Uh,.....slight correction to your "never could get $8 for 2011 corn"

July 2012 futures had a high of 7.94 on 8/30/2011

Basis peaked at +50-60 over the board...

looks like many opportunites to get $8+ for cash corn if futures had been HTA'd  in a 50 cent range from 7.40-7.95

but it does recall the phrase

"many are called, but few are chosen"

exactly ray.  The report was what I expected with an extra .5 mill on corn and 2.2 mill in beans.  I guessed 2-3 mill.  Rain is picking up in iowa and the forcasts didn't call it in those areas (DT nailed the rain chances).
