Well for better or worse if it was going to happen anytime soon it was last year.
In the big game, now we're facing a $T or so of junk bond financing that went into oil and gas fracking that is going to be severely distressed going forward.
As I've said before it is near the order of magnitude of subprime mortgages ca. the mid-2000s but probably not of nearly the same degree of systemic threat. Those had been bundled, sliced, diced and rehypothecated into the equivalent of many $T more and spread throughout the global system.
Probably not so much with this but something that is going to have to be dealt with fairly soon. Politics of ethanol aside, the big game has changed for the moment.

He did sign Dowd-Frank, written and passed by Congress2008. That must be it.
