We have a Commercial Real Estate business and a huge Day Spa in City of Chicago.  The real estate has been slow but have seen that things are picking up, but the Spa has been doing very well. 

We have always offered our employees Health insurance and we have them pay for 30% we pay the other 70%.  It is voluntary, if they want it, it is there.  Very simple....very simple.

Let me clarify my answer our 25 employees have health insurance....our independent contractors (15) elect not to have insurance.

Surely you can find some value in what government agncies do. For example milions of young peopleeducated that wouldbe shut out of the educational system. The interstate highway system, the TVA and other great flood control projects. The social security medicare, medicaid projects that allow the people the system to pay for their own needs asnwell as each other.

The mistake is in the assessement that these people are getting something they don't deserve. In fact they are receiving benefits that they and their neighbors have paid for. Why isn't it you do not have the same disdain for someonethat gets a retirement beneitfrom an investment or a benefit from blue cross blue sheild/ Inb fact they are all return on investment.

I don't now about you but I buy health insurance because it offers risk protection for me. My interest is not to pay for your affliction but to insure coverage for mine. Yet if your claims exceed your premium payments, I do not call for ending the insurance program.

That is what you guys are doing is wanting to end the government safety net because you are not the main beneficiaries, YET!

A great nation can afford to do these things, but people need to be willing to pay for it.

many of our leaders past and present came from an educational system that would be looked at as third world by todays standards...........and much of the innovation we have seen over many many many decades happened with very limited schooling.......I am not suggesting education is not important, however to think its the only answer...........well just go talk to someone that just graduated from college recently..........education is what you make it..........its about what you learn and who you connect with outside the classroom as much as it is inside..........most professional positions being hired today, look at your education for about 2 seconds, dont even ask about GPA, THEY WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO..........your ability to think on your feet, communicate, etc...........they will teach you the rest.........all things defined by your character, not a book..........

interstate system, yep, except its falling apart at an alarming rate.........heres an idea, instead of writing unemployment checks we put people to work fixing this stuff.............

TVA, CORP, ETC............AGENDA OF THEIR OWN AT THIS POINT............sure at first it was a great idea, now its all political.............

SS, MEDI, ETC.................again, at first not a bad idea, now its corrupt and political.........

are you getting point..........the whole thing needs to be gutted as times change..........because its become inefficient and is eating tax dollars up left and right............

the safety net needs to be just big enough and good enough that you are glad its there but never wanna have to use it again............instead we have a system that is an inviting recliner with a pack of smokes and beer in the cup holder..........

insurance............you CHOOSE to buy it...........CHOICE............CHOICE...........think about it..........CHOICE vs TAX.........

retirement investments vs SS.............again, one is CHOICE, the other has its own line on a paycheck whether you like it or not..........

Are you getting the point...........this isnt about all things evil with the government..........its about a big political machine eating thru tax dollars at an alarming rate to support a crumbling framework...........and some of us dont think the answer is to tax more just to slap a coat of paint on a broken machine...........

again, dont worry, your SS and Medi will be there...........and its on the backs of those 20 to 30 plus years younger than you.........again, I ask, you enjoy sticking it to your kids and grandkids..........
