deep dark depression and excessive missory

Hello all. Well ole eagle eye has the mod squad working on the forum software.  so maybe we can use the antique smart phone

one of these days.

Well odd day.  was up at 4 am to get ready and travel to a hospital to have some testing. so got back a while after

dinner, so whol day fouled up.  So I did some visiting and the like........Been busy so havent been keeping track of

stuff, but the last couple of weeks, the local economy/ business people have really become negative.  The odd thing

is they are more open about it now.  Perhaps a new "i can identify" sales  approch, but something tells me they are

genuine.  Talked to the farm equipment people, car dealership, parts store and elevator......all are singing the blues.

An the most worrysome thing is, we don't have any soluations.......usually everyone has an opinion, now, the comment

is things are so fouled up, they don't really know what it will take.

my people are telling me, we could be looking at another 50 to 70 cents down in the wheat market.....spreedsheets

looking bad enough now, let alone that......and things don't look any better for a year or two.

Plus, the 1.5 inches we got, does not break a drought.

i wanted to tinker on the computer, for projections, but grain companines don't even want to give a quote for next

years production.

then to make matters worse, having problems getting the cme website to do what i want.

is this dark cloud hovering over evryones community, or is it just in our little microclimate ?

maybe the fellows on hee haw had it figured out what to do.......

now just to find some of those gallon stoneware jugs

Re: deep dark depression and excessive missory

Glad you decided to stick around.

I understand the technical frustrations.  It has been very difficult for me to get photos uploaded this evening.  Downsized cell phone photos twice, and logged in and out several times to try to get the photos to upload.  Decided to retry uploading the photos in the morning.

Try not to get discouraged.  Of course, that is much easier said than done.

The wheat here (North Texas) is looking great; however, the decreasing price is unfortunate.  Several farmers in this area have been bailing the wheat for hay, instead of harvesting it for grain.  When the price gets low enough, marketing the wheat crop thru beef has the potential to be more profitable than selling it for grain.

Hope you have a great day tomorrow.

Stephanie

There you go.  But I prefer a glass that is half full. That's good.....no that's bad.

Hang in there cheapo. When you're feeling the blues just go to an area and start randomly giving away hugs. Might not change things back at home, but I'd bet 90% of the people that you hugged, well you will probably be the only person to hug them that day. The looks on their faces are priceless and possibly even a new friend in the making.

Re: deep dark depression and excessive missory

Wanta trade days?

Spent great gobs of money to put new row units on my old bar. Spent four hrs trying to get the sob to unfold yesterday.

The top tech called me at 7:30 last night an  told me what switches to wire past.  Guess what didn't work this morning ...

Wired past some more and started planting, two and a half hrs later they got here (2 good mechanics) 4 hrs and many new switches and parts it seems to work better than it ever has since I've owned it. Amazing what a $1500 + of this increasing value fiat current y can do. The parts can all be held in one hand with no sack or box needed.

Try substituting a round for a hug, bet that'll do it.
