Re: disrespectful
Pretty good advice Pal. Of course, if you are Mr. Peak Corn, you are pretty much PEAK emotion and everything else.
It is certainly not out of line for someone from Canada or Aussy or New Zeal to really be envious of our "NO ONE will ever fail again" government funded insurance program.

Re: disrespectful
Pull crop insurance
Hell I dare em too
You wanna see acres disappear by the millions over night
It would take 8 and 16 to keep em in production

Re: disrespectful
Yes Mizzou, crop insurance or something makes a difference.
This link should get you a picture of the US and Canada border in the west.
Why does it make sense to grow crops on the US side but not on the Canadian?
Hint it is not the market price.

Re: disrespectful
Canuck_2,
Same thing used to be true of hog production. You could drive north out of southern MN and see a few hog barns then you wouldn't see one for 200 miles till you hit the 49th paralell. I'm not sure what the reason. Canadian hogs were subsidized somehow. Maybe cheap barley since US hogs only went as far north as the US corn did at that time. Anyway it was always fun to listen to the amatuer economists claim there was no subsidy. How they could claim no subsidy when you had an arbitrary line determining production. Anyway not being critical of the Canadian hog producers it is just that people have a hard time recognising a subsidy when it fattens their pocket book.

Re: disrespectful
What? No border patrol visible for miles in Canuck's pic? We need to protect ourselves from the hungry Canadians.
