feedyard Talk. 3/1/21. 12:58 am

The falling market stops for a breather and reevaluates the attitude it had the last two days of February.  The wind and the decline in futures prices seemed to slow down together this evening.  Here comes march.... the month that changes seasons in the SW ....... when fieldwork hits full stride top dressing wheat finishes up.  Unfortunately March sees the wind blow out the winter and in the spring...... Please change your air filters.....

Last day of February brings a Sunday to a close on evening with Iowa friend Mrs Hobby and her driver for a meal and fat chewing.  Rumor has it that Isc76cat is on spring break at the beach in South Texas.  He is a little early and says there is plenty of room so "come on down".

We have a start at rebuilding the weekly range trade of last week, so buy up and make the 4 day run again this week.

Be out Thursday morning .... seems to be the new trend in fashion wear

Corn.....  +2.6 at 550.2.  ----- the opening May price was 552.6.   High so far on the over nites 554.2............

Beans    +15.2.  at   1419.2.          opened at  1415.00       high so far has been 1422.4. ......................

HRWheat     +3.2.   @  637.2.    opened  @  636.0.       high so far     639.6.......................

Outside markets  start to  recover ,  after  end  of  month  blues .   Gold  back  in  positive , trying  to  follow  corn      maybe  - ?   Watching  Fed Cattle , open  this  morning ,  standoff , blink deal  - - -

Lots  of  Bankruptcy  chatter  in  Texas ,  with  the  electrical  provider  fail - fallout ,  rattling  muni's - maybe  - ?

Marketing conference with Mrs. Hobby and her driver on the way to Florida panhandle by way of Natchez, MS.  They were still cleaning up the mess from the ice storm in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Talked to the owner of Choctaw house in Natchez.  He and his 2 sons had been cleaning up debris there and at their neighbors for several days.

Looks like the market decided an attitude adjustment was not in order.  Feels to me like we're in for a slide.
