What did fall was the months of July and September, right off the board for most of the day. Now approaching 5:30pm they have reappeared like a couple of Juniors skipping school to try to learn something.
Locally the engines are roaring to life as the corn this week went from yellow to dark green and then wilted in the not so hot weather. Results of three weeks without sunshine on small corn not rooted enough for the warm weather it should get.(and plenty of wind today)--a little sand blasting is icing on a day like this one.
For the rest of the summer, whenever it starts, Fridays are not going to be ego builders for producers..... just the nature of the beast. Weather watching is day to day stuff. Don't let that deter you from enjoying the best markets we have ever seen..... As I remember it 2012 was about a 30 day market before the continuous string of record projections began..... and that is what brings us to this lack of supply. that is the way it goes suddenly the credit card won't work anymore.
We will have to depend on Hobby to let us know what the cash bids are for corn..... won't get it anywhere else.
Best futures note for today...... Take a quick look at the meat markets....... wow a small 6 cent drop in new crop corn and feeder cattle add $2.78 ......... that is demand calling.
