Re: i don't understand anymore

Sw  -  The information  I  referenced was  out of     D T N - which I'm  '' sorta '' thinking  OK ---

Interesting being I gaze at all of this '''  ULTRA  CONSERVATIVE  '''  sermon's  out  of  Topeka  &  Beltway  only to reference back at the attendence of the ball in Stevens County and other places with the tab being generated by witholding  $$$  out of  the  blue collar folks ---

Reminding me of the tune   Smoke  Gets  In  Your  EYES ?

Re: i don't understand anymore

my concern and i hope im wrong is the fact that ag gets lip service. when freedom to farm was sold to ag as a way to acess the market with no set aside acres tied to payments. That killed the market because then we were at full production! Even tho the center of the country voted for trump and he likes ag and farmers the ethanol industry had better hold him to his word because the oil giants are going to point at his wanting to get rid of regulations and ethanol is one of them! If the RFS is done away with markets will crash fir a long time!

Re: i don't understand anymore

"if the RFS is done away with the markets will crash fir a long time"  So the ethanol industry is deoendant on Washington for its survival?  Why arent checkoff $$$ being used to promote ethanol and its many benefits TO THE CONSUMER???  Instead of whining to Washington?  If the motoring public wants ethanol, they'll get it RFS or no RFS.  Lets quit whining to the government, and start CREATING DEMAND for our product

Clayton  -  have  asked  this  same  question  about  the  check off  $$$$$  for a  while  -  I  seem  to  generate  blank  observations  in  return  and  opaque  responses ???

Re: i don't understand anymore

A couple of links that provide some info on NCGA and checkoffs.

http://www.ncga.com/upload/files/documents/pdf/ncga_livestock_booklet-web.pdf

http://www.illinoisfarmertoday.com/news/crop/illinois-corn-leader-appreciates-inside-look-at-checkof...

All too often it seems these and related organizations provide ongoing information to farmers thru various media, yet we often don't see the educational and promotional activities that are directed to consumers, end-users and politicians, other than reports that summarize the activities.  Each state appears to have it's own organizations, checkoff amounts, how distributed and used, etc.
