need help understanding
well after watching eagle eye take several sips of coffee (at least that's what we are lead to believe), and a "slight plug" for a
marketing newsletter put out by some small, obscure company that publish a cooking mag........we get the numbers.
then later had two calls from brokers.................
i'm being told, corn might go to 4.40 and we need to do something
beans could go lower, but there is still an outside chance of them crawling up to 10.20 again, and if so might need to do something
wheat.......maybe a light at the end of the tunnel.......while the acres are down........a lot of graze out, and condition is not good,
some winter kill/drought, and we're not done yet.......maybe sell over the scale, and replace with a call.......my only
problem is, what about the basis loss......might be best to hold on the actual commodity....depends where we go on basis.
but here are some questions that I have. the corn/milo bids have the same basis or old crop and new crop.........
unlike others........our nearby beans are 20 cents lower on basis than NC........
wheat basis is improving.
I know of a big pile still under cover from last year......i'm told it is ok, but.....putting grain on the plain ground, then putting plastic
wrap on the top.........gives me a bad feeling......wait till we take the plastic wrap off, it will most likely clean your nose.
now what does all this mean..........bigger donations to the church, and more pew time ????

Re: need help understanding
Donate the pile to the church, take full credit, let them sell it for what they can get, sit back in the rocking chair and wait for heaven.
